5T Stainless Steel Tube Ice Maker

The theory behind tube ice machines and how they work: Water is pumped from a reservoir over the inner surface of the stainless steel tube, and ice is created by applying a refrigerant to the outside of the tube. Once the ice reaches the required thickness, a hot gas is introduced, which then falls into a rotating blade that chops the ice and releases it into a usable storage container.

The ice in the vertical stainless steel tubes is automatically frozen by the low side freezer. The top tank uses an accumulator to move the refrigerant throughout the freezer. The ice is then sliced by a specially made cutter in preset sizes of 19, 25, or 36 mm after the warm gas has been routed around the tubes to release it downward by gravity. Stainless steel or another rust-resistant material is used to make any surface that comes into contact with water or ice.
